2009 Annuals

We've planted our annuals and are now waiting for the front walk to look like this....

Flowers all on one page

I decided to make a card with all the flowers on one page. On the actual card, I did put a nice border around all of it.

Smokies Photos

These are some photos my husband took in the Smokies. The top one is Dwarf Iris, middle one is Little Brown Jugs, and that's us in front of some dogwoods and an old cabin.

Wild Plum Tea Room Porch

while in the Smokies, we had a late afternoon "dinner" 3 different times at the Wild Plum Tea Room (on the porch). The weather was beautiful...the day I sketched this scene, the wind was blowing just a little more than a gentle breeze. The tea they serve is so yummy--and they keep your cup filled!

Star Grass--Maybe?

This is a clump of Star Grass that I spotted down in the growth above the Little River in the Smokie Mtn. National Park. I couldn't find an exact description for this plant in any flower book--but it was very close to Yellow Star Grass, so I'll call it that for now.
