Glimpses of Autumn in Michigan

We took a little jaunt arount one of our MetroParks--just to see how All the Autumn colors were doing.  Kensington has a huge Lake and a wonderful Bike/Walking Path that goes around the whole Lake....and people really use it!  Lots of walkers, cyclists, Moms with strollers, DogWalkers :-) and some just having a great time walking or jogging.  I went to the Nature Center and sketched some of the waning Fall Wildflowers that are breathing their "last."  Lots of Cattails, Purple Asters, White Asters, Thistle, Milkweed, and an abandoned Duck Box (Birdhouse).  Lots of red/orange Maples, and the Birch Trees are now covered with yellow leaves.  I love Fall, but it is TOO SHORT a Season!

Love your journal pages. Is that a home made book you are using? Love how you put the line around the edges. I like Fall too but agree its to short.

Cris, thank You! Yes, I made the Journal in a BookBinding Class. I use Aquarius II Watercolor Paper for the pages (available from the Daniel Smith Catalog or on-line.)
It's approx. 5-1/2 x 8-1/2. Loved the bookb. class :-)
