Crocuses Already!

Guess what popped out of the ground yesterday! I have one purple Crocus that has split into 3 flowers. I watercolored the one blossom last year--and here it is. Will try to do the 3 of them soon. The weather has been somewhat warmer, and we had a hard spring rain last night--but we are supposed to get a few flurries

tonight. May it NOT happen!

Needles, Pins, and Thread

I was remembering when I used to sew everything--now I don't even have a Sewing Machine...My Granddaughter has taken it (the Sewing Machine) under her wing. But when my Mom passed on, she left me spools and spools of thread of every color, several pairs of scissors, and her oft-used pincushion. Didn't everyone have a pincushion like this one?

Lots of Daffodils

I'm hoping it won't be too long until the Daffodils are up and blooming--I'm getting anxious for some really nice Spring Weather.

They're poking throught the ground...already!

I was out filling the Bird Feeder and walked along the edge of treeline--and the Daffodils sprouts are popping through the ground. A couple years ago, we were out West for a long driving trip, and my daughter Ruth came over and planted about 100 daffodil bulbs. What a surprise I had the next spring! It was the GIFT THAT KEEPS ON GIVING! (over and over). I've since painted a few scenes out there.

Contour Drawings

This is a drawing done (without lifting the pencil) which is an easy way to put something on paper that I want to remember. I found this in an old sketchbook of mine from a drawing class I took in "02." Saw a drawing of a spoon on C.C.'s website that reminded me of this exercise.

Finally - Y and Z

This completes my "daily" three-inch drawings thru the alphabet. That was fun (for me).

It kept me looking for objects or pictures of objects to try and draw daily. What's next?

Little Pics S thru X

Almost through the Alphabet! These little pictures (A thru Z) stimulate my creativity (???) just to think of what to draw and paint! Only 2 more to go--and I will miss this little exercise.
