Bridge Flowers--Smokies

This is a bridge we drive over on the Gatlinburg by-pass (of the Main Street). The flowers are always so lush and pretty!
This week-end is the end of The Wildflower Pilgrimage in the Great Smokie Mountains National Park. We usually just go looking on our own--they're everywhere!

Rose Trellis

This is my version of a garden trellis--I saw a picture in a magazine and thought it was attractive. Am I anxious for Spring/Summer???

Tulips for the Kitchen

Saturday was such a beautiful day--only a little cold--so I bought some of my favorite tulips to brighten the Kitchen. I love those two-tone yellow and red/orange. They looked so pretty, I thought it would be fun to watercolor a memory of them...

Crocuses 2009

My Crocus (that I didn't even plant--the former owners did it) came up with three flowers this year. I decided to paint two of them with a bud for the third one, since it hadn't bloomed yet.

Just love those signs of Spring!
